GOLDEN GATE CANYON STATE PARK (July 14, 2006)
2006 ROCKY MOUNTAIN OUTBACKERS RALLY

Here are the attendees at the 2006 Rocky Mountain Outbackers Rally.  We had 8 families get together and it was a great success.  Here is how to identify the Outbackers:

1.  Kneeling in the front row on the left are The Happy Campers with their dog Pepper.
2.  In the front row middle sitting with their kids on their laps are Coloradododds4.
3.  Kneeling in the front row on the right with Sasha the brown dog is RoxboroughSkiMan.  His wife is standing to his right in the blue v-neck shirt.
4.  In the back row standing on the left are Castle Rock Outbacker's kids, wife, and dog Carly.
5.  The 5th and 6th people in the back row are Colorado Campers.
6.  The tall guy in the middle of the back row is Rich in CO surrounded by his family.
7.  Jumping past Rox's wife (in the blue v-neck shirt) is the GenesRUs family.
8.  On the far right in the back row is 2500Ram and his family.

Not pictured is Castle Rock Outbackers.  He's taking the picture.

On Saturday morning the only Outbackers up in time to take the Ranger-guided hike to Panorama point was Castle Rock Outbackers and his family.  Sure, the other Outbackers "talked" about attending the hike, but amazingly none were present when the hike began.  We did run into The Happy Campers half-way through, however.

Here are some members of the Ranger-led hike resting and taking pictures of Panorama Point.

Castle Rock Outbackers youngest two kids enjoy a graham cracker at the hike rest stop.

Here is 2500Ram's site.

2500Ram enjoyed a great backyard on his site.

Here is the Coloradododds4 site.

Here is Castle Rock Outbackers site.

The Happy Campers had this site.

RoxboroughSkiMan had a very nice site towards the end of the loop.

The site separation in loop E at Golden Gate is very good.  Here you see Outbacker neighbors The Happy Campers in the foreground and RoxboroughSkiMan in the background.

Colorado Campers had the largest site at the back of the loop, so we held the potluck there on Saturday evening.

Here is the Rich in CO site.

And finally, here is the GenesRUs site.  Rumor is Parker Outbacker's Ford F250 PSD will be pulling the GenesRUs 21 RS in the near future.  The rumor beyond that is the 21 RS will be replaced by a 25 RS-S or 26 RS.

Here is Rich in CO grilling the equivalent of a side of beef...cut into three great-looking ribeye steaks.

RoxboroughSkiMan is ready to stab anyone that comes near his grilled chicken breasts.

Here Castle Rock Outbackers tells RoxboroughSkiMan about the pleasures of planning and organizing an Outbacker rally.  Rich in CO looks on with an unconvinced look.

Rich in CO, RoxboroughSkiMan, and 2500Ram take a look at the hitch hardware on Colorado Campers 28 RLS.

Getting ready for the potluck, 2500Ram and wife, RoxboroughSkiMan, Rich in CO and wife and daughter talk about the elite status bestowed on all those who Outback.

Ladies visiting at the potluck.  Pictured here left to right are Colorado Campers, Castle Rock Outbackers wife, Colorado Campers, and RoxboroughSkiMan wife.

More visiting at the rally potluck.

GenesRUs and wife get in line behind Colorado Campers at the buffet table.  The blue cooler on the picnic bench kept the party pig of Castle Rock beer ice old.

Outbacker kiddos getting ready for dinner.

The Happy Campers hanging out with their pup Pepper.  Note the color-coordinating leash and collar on Pepper.

The older Outbacker kids set up a Badminton game.  Look at the younger Outbackers come running to see what they were doing!

What a great rally we had.  Already looking forward to next year.  The likely location is Stillwater by Lake Granby, but who knows.
