DENVER RV SHOW (January 10 - 13, 2007)

Lea and I attended the Denver RV show on Friday evening, January 12, 2007.  We stopped by to see the Outbacks first, but were disappointed to find just a few models there.  I was really hoping to see a 26 KBRS, but no luck.  Here is a 2007 23 RS Kargoroo.

We did get to tour the smallest of all Outbacks, the 18 RS.  It is a little camper, but not the smallest camper at the show.

The interior of the 18 RS turns the dinette 90 degrees and uses the couch as both dinette and living room seating.  The dinette table folds away and stores elsewhere when not in use.

The front bunks are gone in the 18 RS in favor of more counter space and storage.  The kitchen countertop that comes with the new Havana color scheme is pretty funky.

Here is the new dinette configuration many of the new Outbacks.

Airstream campers are sweet...and pricey.

Here is an Airstream conversion van.

Go ahead...drool a little.  That's an Allison transmission.

A Lance truck camper on a nice looking Chevy truck.

I am not sure why they put a perfectly good truck camper on a Ford, but there it is.

Words can't describe this rig.

Here is a FunFinder camper.  I could not stand up straight in this little hummer.

When interior space is at a premium, some FunFinder campers put two rooms in one.  The bathroom is in the shower, and vice-versa.  Using both rooms at the same time is not recommended.

A futuristic looking Airstream camper.  This unit has a tent that attaches to the back.

You attach a tent to the back of this Airstream to provide much needed interior room.

Someone's home or a new 5th wheel camper?

A new line of campers from China called i-camp.  U-Haul trailers have more space inside.  Look at those five SOLD stickers to the left of the door!

Many higher-end 5th wheels now include fireplaces and LCD / plasma televisions.

This is a picture I only want to take at an RV show...not at Mueller State park.

A little baby Airstream.

A new design on the outside cooktop.

Try all they want...they'll never be an Outback.

Prefer a pop-up camper but want to take your toys along, too?  Problem solved.

Here is a T@B camper trailer.  We would need three of these for our family.

In my opinion, the BEST campers at the show this year are the restored campers from Timeless Travel Trailers.  Here is a 1958 Stanley Travel Trailer restored to original factory specifications.  Show spectators were only allowed to peek inside this unit.

Information about the 1958 Stanley trailer.

Here is a restored 1970 Airstream.

The interior of the 1970 Airstream has wood floors and was made to look like a deep woods cabin.  All the walls were paneled and the furniture was rustic wood.

This restored 1971 Airstream camper had an amazing interior (next photo).

Look at the finish work on this restored 1971 Airstream trailer.

The weirdest new trend in campers?  How about outside doors that open to the bathroom?  I guess while you are doing your business you can still enjoy your campsite.
