SCOTTSBLUFF, NE (May 1, 2009) |

We took the first weekend in May to drive to Scottsbluff,
NE and visit Grandma Klein and Grandpa Benzel. As you will notice, we failed
to bring our camera to every meeting with Grandpa Benzel, so we have no
pictures of him with the kids. We are such dorks. Here are the
kiddos with their Great Grandma Klein.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in a
Junior Executive Suite so we would have enough room for an inflatable bed
when the hide-a-bed was deployed. The Holiday Inn is your best choice
(cleanliness and modernization especially) when staying in Scottsbluff. Seen
here is Cameron watching TV with Court. The room included two 42" flat
screen TVs.

The kids enjoyed the pool at the Hotel. That is Kendal

The best place for breakfast in Scottsbluff is not the
free one at the Hotel. Instead, go to Country Kitchen and order the full
serving of French Toast. Nobody makes better French Toast...just ask Court.

Our road-trip transportation now that we are camper-less is a 2006 Mercedes-Benz
R500. The rack you see Randy loading is the largest Thule Cargo Box available, the Atlantis 2100.
We have no problem filling it up.
